Week of 11/6/06

Greetings all you girls & guys in 634, 734, and 834. We are almost halfway through November, and some of us are finishing up our author studies. Class 734, you will be finishing your Narrative Account, mimicking Gary Soto's writing style. Class 834, you will be finishing your Walter Dean Myers Response to Literature. Class 634, we will be finishing Bridge to Terabithia this week, and moving onto another Katherine Paterson book.
Homework is as follows:

11/10/06
634: Finish Chapter 8 in your Katherine Paterson book. (The Field of the Dogs group read Chapter 4. Make an entry in your SWBS chart.)Make an entry in your IRL. In your Reader's Source Book, write a literary letter for Bridge to Terabithia.
734: Reread your Gary Soto book and fill in an SWBS chart for the first 3 chapters (if you got less than a 65 on the test.)
834: Bring in 3 magazines to class. Read one article and write a summary of it.
11/9/06
634: Read first half of Chapter 8 in your K.Paterson book. (Field of the Dogs -read Chapter 3.) Make an entry in your IRL. Copy your constructed response on loose leaf.
734: Final Narrative Account due.
834: Final Response to Literature due.
11/8/06
634: Revise and edit your constructed response onto loose leaf. Continue reading in your K. Paterson book; make an entry in your IRL.
734: Draft #6 is due on loose leaf; final paper due Friday, 11/10/06.
834: Draft # 2 is due on loose leaf. Final paper due on Friday, 11/10/06.
