Greetings students in 634, 734, & 834. 634, we are well into our Roll Out unit. We have begun to present our writing genre prompts for "The Jacket," by applying the rituals & routines for Author's Chair presentations. 734 & 834, we are well into our Author Study units - with 734 studying Gary Soto, and 834 studying Walter Dean Myers. 834 - Read for 20+ minutes. Complete Independent Reading Log. Be a psychologist for a character in your book.

634 - Complete your quick write in your Writer's Source Book on 'The + Noun.' Read for 20+ minutes, and make an entry in your Independent Reading Log.
734 -Read your book for 20+ minutes. Be a linecatcher for your book. On loose leaf, copy a quote line that you like, and tell why you like it.
834 - Complete your extended response on "Pride" and "Fighter" in your Writer's Source Book.
Read for 20+ minutes in your book. Make an entry in your Independent Reading Log.
