Greetings all you girls and guys in 634,734, and 834. The NYS ELA tests are behind us, and we are moving forward in our exciting genre studies. 634, you have begun to explore the art of persuasion as you begin to analyze persuasive writing. 734, you are well into researching your topic for your nonfiction children's book. 834, you as well are compiling information for your journalistic feature article. Homework is as follows:

634: Complete Thesis Statement and the web on the assigned issue.
734: Continue to paraphrase your research for your nonfiction book.
834: Continue to paraphrase your research for your JFA.
Thursday 1/24/08
634: Write 2 separate quick writes about 2 separate school issues in your writer's source books.
734: Continue to research and paraphrase for your nonfiction book.
834: Continue to research and paraphrase for your journalistic feature article.
Wednesday 1/23/08
634: In your writer's source book,make an entry entitled" "School Issue #2." Write a "quick write" about another school issue that concerns you. What is a realistic proposal that you have?
734:Continue to paraphrase your research for your book.
834:Continue your research. Who might you interview for your JFA? In your writer's source book, make an entry entitled "Interview Questions for_________." List some questions you might ask this person.
