Week of 6/18/07
Greetings all you girls & guys in 634, 734, and 834. It is hard to believe this is the last full week of school. The year has flown by so quickly! This week, you are all completing and sharing your final writing pieces for your genre studies. 634, you will finish writing and sharing your vignettes, mimicking the writing style of Sandra Cisneros' The House on Mango Street collection. 734, you will begin to write your Virginia Hamilton Response to Literature. 834, you will be sharing your Ray Bradbury Response to Literature. Homework is as follows:
6/22/07
634: Final Collage of Vignettes due.
734: Final VH Response to Literature due Monday.
834: We don't meet anymore. HAPPY GRADUATION AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!

634: Revise final vignette to connect it to the others. Bring all library books and subject text books back to school.
734: Revise and edit first draft. Write Draft #2 on loose leaf.
834: No homework. Have fun at the prom!

634: Revise and edit any 'final' vignettes you found errors in.
734: Write Draft #1 on loose leaf.
834: Practice your notes for your oral presentation. Read in your independent reading book.
6/19/07
634: Final Story Vignette is due on loose leaf.
734: Revise and edit Paragraphs #3 & 4 in RSB.
834: Review your Ray Bradbury Response to Literature for your oral presentation. Read in your independent book.
6/18/07
634: Draft #2 of your Story Vignette is due.
734: Revise Paragraphs # 1 and 2 of your VH Response to Literature in your Reader's Source Book.
834: Practice reading your Ray Bradbury Response to Literature for your oral presentation.
