Week of 4/16/07

Greetings 634, 734 & 834. We have begun the fourth marking period and are well into our genre studies. 634, you are reading the second Gary Paulsen book, The Crossing. 734, you will be finishing your polling report this week. 834, you have begun your first draft for your historical fiction story on loose leaf, and will finish it this week. Homework is as follows:

4/20/07
634: Read in your Paulsen book #2 (or #3). Make a predict/support chart for your book. Revise literary letter on loose leaf.
734: Complete final draft of your Polling Report.
834: On loose leaf, write a paragraph about the strengths and weaknesses you noted in today's class presentations.
4/19/07

634: Continue nreading in your Paulsen book #2. Make an entry in the Character Feels/ I Feel chart.
734: Complete 1st draft of Polling Report on loose leaf.
834: Continue working on Historical Fiction story. Final draft due tomorrow!

4/18/07

634: On loose leaf, write a letter of advice to Sergeant Locke.

734: Revise and edit polling report in WSB.

834: Continue revising and editing second draft. Final draft due on Friday, 4/20/07.

4/17/07
634: Revise your literary letter for Paulsen book #1.
734: Revise/edit introductions in Writer's Source Book.
834: Complete 2nd draft of historical fiction loose leaf. Final draft due Friday 4/20/07.
4/16/07
634: Write a paragraph about Sergeant Locke using the character trait/support chart. Have your Paulsen tests signed and corrected.
734: In WSB, write how bar graphs can make your polling report more effective. If you have not done so, complete bar graphs for your forced choice questions.
834: Complete first draft of HF story on loose leaf.
