Greetings all you girls and guys in 634, 734, & 834. We are in the last week of November, and are well into our genre studies. 634, you are finishing your Katherine Paterson Author Study, and have begun your Response to Literature assignment. 734, you have begun to research and take notes on your Children's Nonfiction topic. 834, you as well have begun to research and organize your Journalistic Feature Article.

Homework is as follows:

634: In Writer's Source Book, write the summary for Jip: His Story using the story outline. Write a summary for Bridge to Terabithia and your independent Katherine Paterson book as well. (These should be three separate entries.)
Complete the Reader's Response worksheet for an independent book you read.
734: Modify outlines and continue your research. Read on in your independent book!
834: Finish "Fight for Suffrage" article. Write and answer your own constructed response question on loose leaf.
11/30/06
634: In Reader's Source Book, make an entry entitled: "Themes for Jip: His Story." List the themes that are explored in the book.
734: Continue to do research for your children's nonfiction book and paraphrase your notes in Writer's Source Book.
834: Continue to research and paraphrase your notes for your Journalistic Feature Article.

634: Revise and edit your "introduction" in your Writer's Source Book.
734: Research and paraphrase in your Writer's Source Book.
834: Research material due friday, December 1st.

634: If you haven't already done so, complete your K.Paterson book and make your entries on your charts for each chapter. Complete graphic organizers and your story maps for Bridge to Terabithia and your K. Paterson book.
734: Continue to research and paraphrase your notes.
834: Reread "The Sultan of Slime." In your Reader's Source Book, add onto your Important/Interesting facts for "The Sultan of Slime."
