Think About This

634, 734, & 834
As we approach the mid January ELA test dates, you should visit the links I provided that address the strategies you will need. Also check out the author study links and gain some insight into how the author's life affected his/her writing.
634: You should be finishing up your Katherine Paterson books this week. You will be tested on them. Check out my Katherine Paterson link. See if her background explains her choice of characters, setting, or plot.
734: Check out the links for your issues. Remember, as you do your research to determine what is important, interesting, and imminenetly forgettable. Also, you must be able to distinguish facts from opinions! I am waiting to hear from you guys.
834: Start reading magazine articles that interest you as we begin the journalistic feature article study.
